Emotional connection to the Kotel
The Kotel, also known as the Western Wall, is one of the holiest sites in Judaism. Located in the Old City of Jerusalem, it is a remnant of the ancient Jewish Temple and is a place of great spiritual significance for Jews around the world. People come from far and wide to pray at the Kotel, and it is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect with their heritage and with the Divine.
When creating this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of standing at the Kotel and feeling the holiness and connection to the past. The texture and detail in the painting are meant to convey the rough, ancient stones of the wall, and the golden hues are meant to evoke a sense of the divine presence that is felt at the Kotel.
I hope that when people look at this painting, they are able to feel a sense of connection to the Kotel and to the rich history and traditions of the Jewish people.
