A Beacon of Light in Times of Sorrow
Have you ever wondered what a tree represents? It represents life! Did you ever notice that when you see a picture of Kever Rachel, it always has a tree next to it? That's because Kever Rachel gives people hope and makes their life come alive again. No matter who you are, Hashem is there waiting to hear your prayers.
In this painting, I spent many hours focusing on both the tree and the Kever. The tree has a textured feel and is made out of foam. Foam itself expands - it starts off small and as it dries, it expands. Similarly, in life, when we go through a challenge or a test, we may feel small and sad. But when we cry out to Hashem, our heart expands and feels alive again. It feels like someone is listening to us.
